I am free....

Today was “check out” day at school. I cleared out my classroom, turned in my computers, emailed my last lesson plans and handed over my keys! I am officially no longer a teacher!!! I was a rather nonplussed while chatting with my now ex-boss. I have the utmost respect for him as a teacher, a fellow christian and as a human being. I wish him the best of everything in his second year as the principal.

So, I took Britanie to work, came home and played with my new iPhone! Then I took a much needed nap! I thoroughly enjoyed it, too! Well, it looks like tomorrow will be a major cleaning day and then I need to get started on some of my summer projects.
Have a blessed day!

A new day....

Today is the last day of my teaching career and I am feeling a bit discombobulated. I am ready to move on to another chapter of my life. My youngest child graduated from high school last week and still experiencing the roller coaster emotions from that. So, I am sorting through my feelings and getting ready to hit the road running with more crafts and projects than I can keep track of.

Britanie's graduation party on Saturday was a hit! The theme was "Oh, the places you'll go..." by Dr. Seuss. I hope to get a few pictures posted here in the next few days. We had a gourmet burger bar, salads, chips and dips, as well as a do it yourself "mock-tail" bar and mini cupcakes to decorate yourself. Nothing like a party where you have to make your own food, drinks and desserts!!!! It was great!!!!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions....

Well, that is my story for the day. I set up "My teaching tales of the day" blog a very long time ago and just never found the time to do anything with it. So, now I will have a lot more free time on my hands, because I am not teaching now and am in the process of changing my career. Therefore, there will not really be anything to write about over on my teaching tales of the day. I have been thinking of all those days and days of nothing to do to fill my time, so I have decided to start another blog. Creating with a passion is my new venture. I plan on doing a lot of crafty things to have ready to sell on Etsy.com. I hope to inspire you to step out and try something new.
